Now knowing who was orchestrating things from the start, Ozzy Lusth talks about Survivor Game Changers, specifically about interacting with Debbie.

This article will discuss the events of the two-hour merge episode of Survivor Game Changers that occurred on Wednesday night.

In Survivor, just like in real life, there are three perspectives on anything that happens; one person’s viewpoint, the other person’s viewpoint, and the truth. Surprisingly enough, until Debbie Wanner reached for her extra vote, Ozzy Lusth had no idea she was gunning for him. With a chance to reflect on what happened months ago and what he’s seen on television, Ozzy offers up his renewed perspective in today’s Survivor Game Changers exit interviews.

He may have been the sourest at any point in the day answering My Xfinity’s questions for their interview, associating Debbie to a snake in their word association game. He mentions it “was really stupid of her” to grab for the extra vote, noting that he knew she was behind it when she did that.

On Debbie inexplicably acting drunk without drinking (for no reason), Ozzy had this to say:

"She’s a kook. She needs attention. She really loves the spotlight. Television is perfect for her. The problem with Debbie is she has so many stories about everything. She’s pretty much done everything you can possibly imagine from being a waitress to being a chemist, to jumping out of planes. She’s done it all. She’s kind of a know-it-all. Debbie is like a crazy cat lady without the cats."

Ozzy has a certain way with words, but spending 24 days with Debbie on Survivor Game Changers seemed to be too much for him, as he offers one of his harshest criticisms of any player not named John Cochran. Hilariously enough (or disappointingly enough, if you don’t appreciate good irony), it was Cochran who provided Debbie with the extra vote necessary to secure his exit.

Had Sarah not flipped and Cirie not voted for Sierra (to “stir the pot”), it would have been fully necessary to get Ozzy out using that extra vote. For the most part, it seems like Ozzy was just happy to play on Survivor Game Changers, lucky enough to be called back after so many years.

For those who still believe that Ozzy Lusth is more than capable of playing a multifaceted game, his Parade interview indicated that he still doesn’t quite understand the strategic and social aspects of Survivor all that well.

"Yeah, Zeke and I were close, up until that vote, really. I think Zeke wanted to make a big move and was willing to go to war. I don’t blame him for it. He’s a calculating player. Really, I blame Debbie for throwing my name out there so nonchalantly. Zeke and I had talked. We formed somewhat of an alliance from the very beginning. I really respected the way Zeke played the game. He really embraced everything that was Survivor. I don’t hold it against him that he took the opportunity to try to vote me out."

It sounds like an honest, but calculated statement if it weren’t for one small problem; Zeke didn’t vote for Ozzy. He believed that the votes were going for Aubry at the time; the person he tried to vote out. In fact, Ozzy was the one to vote Zeke, lending himself as one of four people to do so.

Perhaps it being 4/20 meant Ozzy was a bit off his game (I mean, he did tweet about it earlier today), but at least he’s in a great place today.
