As a two-time returning player, does Hali Ford have a chance of playing Survivor for a third time, or will her journey end here?

Hali Ford noted herself in her first Ponderosa video that she ended her second stint on Survivor in the same way she did her first. Both on Worlds Apart and Game Changers, she’s the first member of the jury. Of course, the answer to this question may change. Since she won’t really play a role in Game Changers until the very end aside from the occasional jury reaction shot, it seems like a prudent time to ask if Hali will become a three-time player.

In that same Ponderosa video, she noted that she has given up on jobs to play Survivor, twice. That’s certainly a level of dedication. It suggests that should the casting department reach out for a third time, she’d probably agree to appear again.

But would the casting department want her back? Sure, Hali can pull out some impressive arguments at Tribal Council, but they haven’t saved her before. She spent a good portion of this game as a target and an outsider. Scrambling to make it through three more days seemed to characterize her later days. It’s tough to argue that she’s had any sort of impact on this game, positive or negative.

From the start, we here at Surviving Tribal didn’t think she even qualified as a game changer, after all. Having seen her entire game on Game Changers, it still doesn’t seem like she really qualifies.

Then again, who ever expected a pre-jury Jeff Varner to make it onto Cambodia/Second Chance and then Game Changers? Hali may be called upon to fill a slot once again, if Survivor ever has one and she’s available to head out to another island.

Somehow, it just doesn’t strike us that she’ll make it to the top of the list at the casting department.

Then again, never say never with this show. Several years from now, she may appear again on Survivor. Maybe her way with words will evolve, and she’ll become a master of the social and strategic games.
