Now that the remaining players have survived the Survivor: Game Changers merge, it’s time to turn on each other once again and vie for immunity.

With about a month’s worth of episodes left until the Survivor: Game Changers finale on May 24, it may seem as though there’s not much really left. After all, May starts next week. However, there’s still about a third of the game to go, because this week’s immunity challenge takes place on Day 26 of the game. (We know, because it featured in a video CBS put on YouTube earlier this week.)

By now, you’ve likely caught on to the fact that a season of Survivor typically lasts 39 days. Granted, The Australian Outback went for 42, but interestingly, the show has never tried to repeat the gimmick, which is surprising because Survivor repeats things all the time. Like players. Or twists. The list goes on, really, but we’ll stop here.

What we’re trying to get at is that there’s about a third of the season left, which sounds a lot better than four episodes counting the appropriately large finale night, where Survivor usually just takes over the entire evening as is right and proper. There’s a lot of game still to be played, and as the numbers dwindle, more and more will start feeling the pressure of trying to make it all the way to that coveted Day 39 spot at the final Tribal Council.
