After the end of Survivor: Game Changers’ episode tonight, presumably nine players will remain in the game — but which nine?
By all indications, we’ll have a relatively normal episode of Survivor: Game Changers tonight. Granted, “relatively normal” still means that there’s a lot of potential for shenanigans. None of these players are novices. Flips, secrets, and lying is basically the order of the day (or days, as the case may be, since episodes typically show three days and three nights). Isn’t that kind of the whole point of the season’s theme, after all?
But still, there’s just one hour of Survivor to watch tonight, with two challenges that we’ve seen before. The immunity challenge, like last week’s block-stacking, can either end up being a runaway for one person or one where the lead changes several times. Meanwhile, the reward may very well be decided solely by how quickly six tired and hungry people in groups of three can unscramble a really long phrase.
Say what you will about Survivor reusing things often, but it does like to keep things dramatic (with the help of music and editing) for challenges, since they do help anchor each episode alongside Tribal Council.
Hopefully, Maku Maku’s evening with Jeff Probst at the end of the episode will continue to be as ridiculous as many of the others have been. Perhaps Michaela will bring her mug back to Tribal, depending on how confident she is. She pulled snacks out last time, so it would be boring to repeat herself back-to-back like that, don’t you think?
(Besides, the jury probably can’t do something like that. Someone has to take the job on.)
