In her exit interviews for Survivor Game Changers, Andrea Boehlke ponders why they didn’t see her closeness with Sarah and the possibility of a fourth season.

It’s hard to see a legend exit a season with as prolific players as Survivor Game Changers has provided. Yet, when you go into the merge and start to make your big moves for everyone else to see in plain sight, it paints a huge target on your back. Andrea Boehlke understands this well, as she detailed her time in the game this season in her Survivor Game Changers exit interviews.

Speaking to Parade, Andrea spoke about trying to reign back the paranoia levels she reached when playing Survivor Caramoan in time for Game Changers. It did not work out so well.

"I still felt very paranoid. But I would tell myself not to go off into the jungle and freak people out. I tried to sit back. But I don’t know. Maybe I should have checked in more with everyone. Something that Sarah did very well, and Cirie to a degree, is constantly check in. I don’t know why. It feels whenever they did it they wouldn’t get in trouble, but whenever I went scampering off, all of the sudden, “She’s paranoid and freaking out!” I was trying so hard to lay back…"

It seemed like the edit showed Andrea perfecting her game in Survivor Game Changers, finally easing off the aggressive check-ins but not acting to complacent. There’s only so much you can do to change the perspective of others, though, and in this case, it meant Andrea going home in 8th place.

She also represents the most recent player in a line of eliminations who were voted out on days similar to their position in other seasons. There’s no Redemption Island to bring her back this season, though, meaning she’s done until the Final Tribal Council.

Andrea was asked if Survivor Game Changers would be her final season in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. Her fans may be a bit bummed to hear her answer, though.

"I think I’m done. I know that I said that my second time and I came back, but I just don’t see me all of a sudden doing any better. I just feel everyone knows I’m really good in challenges so it’s kind of like an Ozzy thing. As soon as you hit the merge, people are going to be looking for a reason to take anybody out, and they’re always going to be like, ‘Oh, remember Andrea is really good at challenges.’ So I don’t know. I think I’m good."

Another big thing to factor in is Andrea’s current job. She works for the People Entertainment Network as a host, interviewing a wide range of celebrities in studio and out on the red carpet. Taking out roughly two months of the year to fly out to an exotic island, stick around for 39 days and get post-game treatment (or heal up from a possible medevac) presents too much risk for her career.
