With a Survivor Game Changers Final Three that composed of two men and one woman, former Survivor players sounded off about this season’s winner.
With 20 players descending upon Los Angeles for the Survivor Game Changers finale, plenty of former players were in town for the festivities. Regardless of if they were in town or not, we got to see a lot of social media interaction with Survivor players, offering up their hot takes on tonight’s finale.
Here is what Survivor Twitter thought about the Survivor Game Changers finale!
Despite this being the last time we’ll watch a new episode of Survivor until September later this year, the excitement for former players was at a peak. Some were even throwing shade about their past performances!
whatever happens tonight @sarahlacina you played a kickin', awesome game!!!!!!!!! #SurvivorGameChangers good luck!!

Just remember tonight's finale @CBS for #SurvivorGameChangers it's not always the winner who wins survivor but one who is always remembered!

^How I currently feel about the Survivor finale coming up tonight! 😱😝😆 (maybe a little too… https://t.co/hAhiTg3JfD

Surprisingly, the big maze immunity challenge was the first of the night, setting up an epic battle between Cirie Fields, Sarah Lacina, Aubry Bracco, Troyzan Robertson, Brad Culpepper and Tai Trang. Brad stayed safe with a second-straight immunity challenge win, and brought Troyzan and Sarah to eat with him.
As an Italian American, I'm triggered by the chicken parm and key lime pie pairing #survivor

Somebody needs to duct tape Tai for his own good!😲🌴🌴#SurvivorGameChangers #SurvivorFinale

That happened to me Brad. Had a puzzle piece still in the bag and I lost miserably. Way to go Culpepper!! #Survivor #survivorfinale
— Gervase Peterson (@SayGerv) May 25, 2017
This puzzle looks like a nightmare. #survivor
— Alexis Maxwell (@alexis_maxwell) May 25, 2017
However, things got a bit tense when Brad started to get really aggressive with Tai, demanding he gave him an idol to show trust.adly, it was Cirie/Aubry/Tai who was voted out in sixth placing, earning the spot of the eighth jury member.
I always feel bad for Tai. #survivor

Brad and Tai are hugging backstage right now #SurvivorFinale
— Malcolm Freberg (@MalcolmWHW) May 25, 2017
Got to tell you that I'm NOT big on someone playing the "bullying" card!!!! @TaiTrangSF hang tough!!! #survivorfinale
— Teresa Cooper/T-Bird (@tbirdcooper) May 25, 2017
Sadly for them, Cirie was voted out in sixth placing, earning the spot of the eighth jury member despite not receiving a single vote. Sarah played the Legacy Advantage, Tai played an idol for himself and Aubry, Brad has the Immunity Necklace and Troyzan played the final HII.
Now that was AWESOME!!!!!! Tribal Council is intense every time!! Great job JEFF! #SurvivorGameChangers @JeffProbst @survivorcbs

Daaaang. 😭😭 @Ciriesurvivor12, what a crazy way to go out. Bless your heart. I ❤️ you. #SurvivorGameChangers
— Candice Cody, MD (@CandiceCodyMD) May 25, 2017
Wow! Epic @survivorcbs @Ciriesurvivor12
— Boston Rob (@BostonRob) May 25, 2017
We lose Malcolm because of a BS twist. We lose Sandra because of a lopsided swap. We lose Cirie because of Idolpalooza. Happy, producers?

Considering their edit in the tail end of Survivor Game Changers, it makes sense that Aubry went home in fifth place. It’s certainly a frustrating moment for her, too, as she’ll hit Survivor Ponderosa as the ninth juror wondering what could have been had Brad Culpepper not won a third-straight Immunity Necklace.
HA! @aubrybracco going out like, "Never been voted out. Not sure how this works Jeff. What's my line again?" 💅💅💅🤳🤳#SurvivorGameChangers
— Candice Cody, MD (@CandiceCodyMD) May 25, 2017
@aubrybracco a true class act

The final immunity challenge was the moment of the finale, as the winner both guaranteed their spot at the Final Tribal Council while also helping to control the fate of who would sit with them to face the jury.
Brad with the dead fish technique 😂
— Peih-Gee Law (@PEIHGEE) May 25, 2017
Damn that wasn't even a competition at the end. #survivor
— Alexis Maxwell (@alexis_maxwell) May 25, 2017
Send home Sarah!!!!!!!!!!! Come on Culpepper! #SurvivorFinale Tai gets no votes for $1 million
— Jonny Fairplay (@JonnyFairplay) May 25, 2017
Knowing a million dollars was at stake, Tai found himself upsettingly close to a guaranteed money position, but was ultimately voted out in fourth place. Nobody wants to be in that final jury spot, so the sympathy poured in from Survivor Twitter.
Brad it's just constantly losing votes! You better believe I've learned a lot lol #SurvivorGameChangers
— Russell Hantz (@russellhantz) May 25, 2017
Good for you #Tai to stand up! @survivorcbs #SurvivorGameChangers #finale #sogood

My girl @sarahlacina in the Final 3!! Great Game!! I love it. #SurvivorGameChangers #CBS #Survivor @survivorcbs @JeffProbst #cagayan
— Jeremiah Wood 🇺🇸 (@JeremiahPWood) May 25, 2017
Voting out Tai was a dumb decision by Brad. He can beat Tai & Troyzan - it was an emotional move, not a strategic one. #survivorfinale
— Erik Reichenbach (@ErikReichenb4ch) May 25, 2017
The Final Tribal Council was electric, with a tiring ten jurors asking the three remaining players about their thoughts, motivations and actions they took throughout the entirety of Survivor Game Changers. Jeff also tried to bring the questioning down to factors about outwitting, outplaying and outlasting others, for some reason. The open forum was a neat idea that I hope to see come back.
I've always said this @JeffProbst !!! "The three aspects of the game" #SurvivorGameChangers
— Russell Hantz (@russellhantz) May 25, 2017
Wow Jeff, now you change the way they do Final Tribal. Thanks bruh #survivorfinale
— Gervase Peterson (@SayGerv) May 25, 2017
My #SurvivorMillennialsVsGenX peeps, @TheMichaelaB and @zekerchief respect gameplay. No sour grapes. #survivorfinale #SurvivorGameChangers
— Jessica Lewis (@jessicalewis89) May 25, 2017
Troyzan needs to "...and Peggy!" this ASAP to make an impression.
— Brian Corridan (@BriCorridan) May 25, 2017
Brad.... don't send Tai to the jury 🤦🏼♀️
— Sunday Burquest (@sundaysurvivor) May 25, 2017
Moral: the #Survivor metric is malleable. You gotta do something special (sorry @troy_zan) but what that thing is, depends on the jury...
— Vytas Baskauskas (@vytasyoga) May 25, 2017
After casting their votes, Jeff Probst brought the votes back to America for the live reading in CBS Los Angeles. By a 7-3-0 vote, Sarah Lacina is your winner of Survivor Game Changers.
