Malcolm Freberg – Historic two-tribe vote out

Malcolm is one of my favorite new school Survivor players. Whether it was a challenge away from victory in the Philippines or playing a strong social, strategic and challenge gameplay in Caramoan, he’s always there to offer a smile and a sarcastically cynical comment. He has plenty of dimensions to him as a player, a character and as a human being.

The fact that he got voted out the way he did will forever make me sour.

Early in Survivor Game Changers, Malcolm proved to be Mana’s strongest player in all aspects, but Sandra was running the show for the tribe when it switched up to the swapped Nuku tribe. J.T. and Malcolm could have taken control at a two-tribe Tribal Council. J.T., while trying to help his old Nuku tribemates, told them Sierra was their voting target and asked them to take out Sandra.

Instead, they voted Malcolm and used an idol on Sierra, making Malcolm the first-ever player in Survivor to be voted out by members of a different tribe.
