Sandra Diaz-Twine – Making five tribal councils before voted off

The only player to become the Sole Survivor two separate times, Sandra Diaz-Twine is the Queen of the “anybody but me” strategy. In this season, she showed to be a strategic and social mastermind, knowing how to play the game through her in-game connections and personable attitude.

She may have been a bit pompous in her approach, but it was the only way to assert her character as the authoritative voice camp. She was the one who played up J.T. as if Michaela was going home, going so far as to steal the sugar and cause friction between the two before orchestrating his elimination. She made him feel so comfortable that he didn’t even use his idol!

Still, though, once she found herself in a second tribe swap where she and Jeff Varner were completely on the outs, numbers-wise, she found little she could do to hold on. After 94 days, five tribal councils within Survivor Game Changers and 29 total times she could have been eliminated across her entire gameplay, Sandra Diaz-Twine was finally sent home for the first time in her career.
