Survivor 2017: Advantagegedon

This all brings us to the modern-day game of Survivor: filled with twists, turns, big moves and sending home legendary players through crazy, unfair moments. Cirie Fields did not receive a single vote in Survivor Game Changers, yet she was sent home in 6th place. No, she didn’t draw the wrong rock; she was the only player exposed to votes.

“Advantagegedon” is the name for when CBS production lets the game get carried away from them by putting in too many advantages at once. Tai Trang, holding onto two Hidden Immunity Idols, felt like he was on the verge of going home, so he saved himself and Aubry from the vote. That triggered Sarah’s self-preserving alarm as she played her Legacy Advantage.

With Brad Culpepper holding onto the Immunity Necklace, Troyzan felt compelled to play his Hidden Immunity Idol in case he had a single vote against him. With that move, five players were immune, and Cirie was not. Sarah had three votes removed, Tai had two removed, and Aubry had her lone vote nixed.

For the first time in 34 seasons, someone went home by default, not because the tribe had spoken.
