Five former Survivor players are set to appear on the premiere of the new CBS game show ‘Candy Crush’

It’s not uncommon to see former Survivor players trying their hands at other ventures. In fact, you could say it’s almost expected. However, that doesn’t make it any less of a delight to see people that you’ve come to enjoy as characters on TV doing something else. That’ll be the case for the premiere of the new CBS game show Candy Crush.

Yes, this is a game show coming to television that’s based on the viral mobile gaming franchise. It’ll be hosted by Mario Lopez and will feature different variations of what the mobile game offered to players as contestants compete for big cash prizes.

The premiere episode, however, is keeping it in the CBS family as the contestants will all be former players on both Survivor and Big Brother. Focusing on the former, though, there are some fan favorites, and even a former winner that will be playing Candy Crush on the premiere.

Per CBS, winner of Survivor: Cambodia, Jeremy Collins will try his hand at the new CBS game show. He’ll be teaming up with Cagayan runner-up Woo Hwang. Another Survivor team will be comprised of Joe Anglim (Worlds ApartCambodia) and Kelley Wentworth (San Juan Del SurCambodia). Caleb Reynolds of Kaoh Rong and Game Changers will also be playing, but he’ll be representing Big Brother as he’s also appeared on that show — with much more success than he’s had on Survivor, it should be said.

The team of Jeremy and Woo obviously boasts the most success on Survivor. But which former castaway will have the best showing on Candy Crush? We’ll have to wait until the July 9 premiere of the new game show to find out (though my money’s on Joe and Kelley).
