I have never been so exhausted confirming the stat sheet of a Survivor player for a birthday post. It’s a testament to how monumental a player Cirie Fields has been to this game, representing the beginning, middle and evolution of the strategic revolution for Survivor, showing that you can get up off the couch and compete with others using your mind, not your brawn.

Cirie was arguably the best player never to win Survivor even before she was announced to play in Survivor Game Changers, yet she entered Season 34 knowing that she had a huge target on her back should she ever get to the merge. That’s why Ozzy was kinda gunning for her on Nuku so early; he knows firsthand just how brilliant she is with both strategy and her social game.

Luckily for her, she made the merge without ever reaching Tribal Council, letting her jump between all three tribes before the merge and solidifying relationships with most of the remaining cast. While Sarah was breaking hearts and securing power, Cirie manipulated and strategized behind the scenes. Unfortunately, while she was focusing on the next three steps ahead of her, she didn’t foresee the unthinkable; a situation where everybody at Tribal Council could be safe but her.

In a historic Survivor Game Changers Tribal Council, Cirie Fields was sent home because a record-breaking five people were safe, a record-breaking three HIIs were used and because, for the first time, nobody else in a Tribal Council could be voted for. All while receiving zero votes in the entirety of her run on Survivor Game Changers.

It’s hard to imagine that the stars will align once more to give Cirie Fields a shot at winning once more, but regardless of the probabilities, it’s a fact that she is one of the greatest players in the show’s history. We at Surviving Tribal would like to wish her a happy 47th birthday!
