3. Amanda Kimmel

Let’s be completely fair to Amanda for a second here. She pulled off a fairly impressive feat in Survivor by going to the Final Tribal Council in China and Micronesia. (Last year, I put her on my honorable mentions for best Survivor players because of that.) Granted, she didn’t actually win either time, but at least in Micronesia she moved up a spot by virtue of there only being two people to vote for at the Final Tribal that time around.

Okay, that last bit was slightly less than fair.

Anyway, Amanda came back for her third go-round at the game in Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains, just a few seasons later. She did not make the Final Tribal Council that time, instead joining the jury and probably most pointedly being remembered for having a fight with Villain Danielle DiLorenzo over a hidden immunity idol clue while Colby Donaldson basically ate popcorn (and finally adjudicated in favor of Danielle, since she had actually found the clue first). So much for the Hero designation, right?

That bit was also slightly less than fair considering that the two tribes had merged into Yin Yang by that point. Maybe Amanda was just embracing her inner dark side. Either way, it wasn’t a great final episode featuring her as a player instead of a jury member.
