Now that the Survivor season 35 players have had their say about themselves, CBS now turns to focus on their fellow castaways to get peer impressions.

The long national nightmare is over; Survivor returns tomorrow with the debut of Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers! We’ve been diving into the players like Patrick Bolton, Joe Mena, JP Hilsabeck and the like since the cast was officially revealed, yet we’ve heard very little about what each player has to say about each other.

Thankfully, CBS had their finger on the pulse, releasing a new promotional video that shows the Survivor season 35 players giving their honest first impressions about their fellow castaways. Some of them have nice things to say, while others are brutally honest. These players are cast to fit their roles, and even before the game starts they’re ready to cut an awesome confessional.

One thing that’s been evident from the get-go is just how physically strong most of this cast is compared to Survivor seasons past, with representation across male and female players. The players note that before moving on to the loudest, brightest player to grace them; the bright red Patrick Bolton. Even players like Devon Pinto, who doesn’t know he’s about to be on his team, is concerned he won’t last as he sports his pre-game sunburn.

Jessica notes that there are some “science-looking people” on Survivor Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers, as well. Dr. Mike seems to be one person the castaways, as a whole, gravitate towards, with Ryan and Cole specifically looking to get to know him better. Joe, meanwhile, is perceived as villainous by some castaways (although from a first impression perspective), especially due to his “diva” ways of hogging fans at Ponderosa.

The big problem when you assume, however, is that you make an assignment of a winner pick in haste. Once we see the debut of Survivor Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers on Wednesday, September 27 at 8 p.m. ET, we’ll get to see how these players hold up in the early game itself.
