After one episode and a brief introduction to the castaways, how do the initial Survivor Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers power rankings shake out?
The 35th season of Survivor is officially underway. In all honestly, it was a bit of a bummer to not be able to spend two hours getting to know a new cast as the premier for Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers was only an hour long on Wednesday night. However, there was still a great deal that we learned throughout those 60 minutes. And, of course, the cast shrunk from 18 to 17 with Katrina Radke getting eliminated from the Heroes tribe.
There were plenty of memorable moments from the season 35 premiere, “I’m Not Crazy, I’m Confident”. Most notable of those, though, has to be Alan forcing J.P., someone who he was supposed to be aligned with, to take off his clothes to prove that he didn’t have an idol. It would’ve been a surreal moment at any point in the season, but to have it in the first three days of the game made it even more son.
However, one of the detriments of the hour-long episode as opposed to two hours was the simple fact that there wasn’t a lot of time for everyone. Had it been an hour for Game Changers‘ premiere, that would’ve been different as it was returning players. With a new cast, those players that got little-to-no screen time are hard to assess in terms of power ranking the cast.
Still, we trudge on and try to do just that. For those with little screen time, all we can do is assess the situation around them and project the best we can. Then for everyone else, we take what we saw in episode 1 and what was in the preview for episode 2 and try to make sense of it all. Having that in mind, let’s start with the bottom-third of our Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers power rankings after the premiere.
