Digging through the Survivor season 35, episode 3 photos to look for hints and clues as to what might be in store for ‘My Kisses are Private’.
Two episodes have now expired in Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers. Subsequently, we’re down to only 16 players left in the 35th season of the show. As I’ve stated numerous times before, though, the fact that we’re working with an all-new cast means that it will take some time for these castaways to become full characters.
What’s also interesting about this is that these players ultimately face the same challenge too. Yes, not all returning players know one another — but they’ve at least seen one another play before for the most part. Thus, it takes a bit longer for certain traits to be revealed about these people as they interact.
That can lead to many things, of course. But it’s always the juiciest when it starts leading to conflict. As we look at the photos (in addition to the preview) for Survivor season 35, episode 3, “My Kisses are Private”, it seems like conflicts are all around, seasoned with a little love.
Before we get to that, however, let’s look at what we can see from the challenge that we have in store:
This might shock you, but we’re working with an obstacle course race.
Looking at this in comparison to the overview of the entire challenge, it appears that the tribes will start on the end that is in the background of the previous photo. Each team must start by climbing through a tight over/under type of deal that the tribes must weave through.
The next obstacle then appears to be having to hoist tribemates up onto this structure and then sliding down the net.
After that, they finish by knocking off the blocks atop that platform with bean bags, something that we’ve seen before in several past seasons. So ends the challenge.
But now we’ll look at what appears to be some sorts of drama developing in each tribe, something that we saw in the 30-second preview, starting with the Heroes.
There are a number of images with Alan in them. As such, that seems to indicate that he’s going to be focused on a bit — and we saw in the preview that he’s struggling with living primitively. Given that and the already brewing negative feelings about him, that could end up unfavorably for him.
This seems to further that a bit. Alan looks like he’s sulking, or perhaps getting scolded in some way. If that’s the case, that’s not a good thing for him considering he looked to already be on the chopping block.
Now let’s check on the Hustlers tribe:
We saw in the preview after episode 2 and throughout episode 2 that Patrick can rub people the wrong way. The captain of the rubbed-the-wrong-way crew was Lauren. So seeing them looking like they’re being separated is certainly indicative that a feud could be developing fully.
Look at Lauren’s face. Just look at it. It’s an all-time great expression on Survivor, brought on by the presence of the man-boy to her left, we can only assume.
Finally, we’ll head over to the Healers tribe, where a Survivor love story is unfurling. Presenting a love story in three parts, starring Cole and Jessica:
Cole: Hey, I like the way you fish, even if you don’t catch anything.
Jessica: Thanks. Let’s go lie flirtatiously in the sand now.
No dialogue, only giggles and stares.
Jessica: Something, something kisses are private.
Cole: This is literally a TV show, but kiss me again anyway. Also, maybe we should think about playing the game.
/scene.
I’m sure that this will all end incredibly well for Cole and Jessica. A show-mance has never ended poorly ever, even when they think they are in power. But outside of just the Healers and this romance, it will be thoroughly interesting to see how things shake out for each tribe.
