Whether it’s popping a squat for Immunity or jumping off high ladders and diving into waters, Survivor season 35 episode 9 photos show off compelling challenges.

We’re late into Survivor season 35, Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers, that we’re starting to see screen grabs occupy the CBS press site rather than professional photographs. While it’s a bummer from a quality of picture standpoint, it’s great for those wanting to catch a glimpse of episode 9 to come, as you can see hints of what’s to come in a controlled manner.

CBS released the Survivor season 35 episode 9 press photos last night, showcasing two very different, unique, possibly original challenges facing the players. Additionally, there are hints at where certain players are headed in the interim and who’s working with who going forward.

Here we see Lauren Rimmer talking to Ashley Nolan while Ben looks on. There doesn’t seem to be many people around, so there could be a bit of strategy involved in this conversation.

After Ben tried to convince Mike to vote for Joe last episode, Mike weighed the possibility of escaping from underneath the minority and furthering his game. With Survivor season 35 episode 9 showing Mike sitting beside Ben, Lauren and Ryan (who isn’t privy as to why he voted Joe), it’s safe to assume he’s found an in.

The entirety of the Reward Challenge remains a mystery, but it appears as though two teams of five will team up to complete two portions. The first part sees three castaways (one at a time) swimming to a platform, climbing up a ladder, jumping into the water, diving down and untying a buoyed ball.

As you can see from the wide shot, the teams will have to shoot the balls at targets, presumably with the first team to finish winning the challenge.

Both Ben and Devon are separately found in many of the press photos for this coming episode, but here is where they talk about Ryan’s separate reveal that he has a Hidden Immunity Idol. It’s clear that Lauren’s Secret Advantage, Ryan’s Idol and where Devon will show his loyalty to will be integral to this episode.

Here is the best shot we can get of the Survivor season 35 episode 9 Immunity Challenge. Players must stand in a squat position in order to hold a jug of water. Go too high, the jug extinguishes the flame and you’re out. Go too low and it’ll pour on the flame and you’re also out of the challenge. As you can see, the heights of the boxes are different based on the length of players’ legs.
