Survivor season 35 episode 13 photos show Ben grinding people’s gears
The fact that Ben is called “The Survivor Devil” shines through in the season 35 episode 13 press photos for Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers.
After a historic Tribal Council that sent home one of the likely winners and giving edgic watchers a real panic attack, we’re a day away from Survivor season 35 episode 13, “The Survivor Devil,” and I have no clue what happens next. So far, the promo insists that everyone wants to take Ben Driebergen down a peg, but the way they craft his “impossible mission” may offer a reverse-spoiler by having the opposite happen.
Now that CBS has released the Survivor season 35 episode 13 press photos, we now have a bigger picture at just how much Ben is in trouble, as well as a look at what challenges the castaways will face in this momentous, penultimate episode.
Ben is featured in nine promotional photos for this episode (not counting group shots at/walking to a challenge), and he’s isolated in all but one of them. This photo, however, encapsulates how much he’s on his own in this game, but also evokes an undercut of sympathy. Yes, Ben’s the “Survivor Devil,” but worse nicknames were suggested for better people in this game’s history.
If you wanted a better idea of how much Ben’s alleged devilry has united the castaways, look at Devon sitting right in the middle of a conversation with Mike and Ryan. Sure, Devon and Ryan used to be best buds, but after the last few votes, they have had a major fallout.
Here’s a look at the likely Survivor season 35 episode 13 Immunity Challenge from overhead. From top to bottom, you must climb up a net, dive through a pile of sawdust underneath two wooden posts, run to a bag of balls, open them up, shoot at your net, then run up a series of stairs towards a gear puzzle. Some of the other photos give away how close this challenge will be, so they’ve been left off this piece.
Here we see what looks to be Mike’s hand and a quizzically intrigued Ashley Nolan looking on at some sort of suggestion or pitch for a Survivor play. Considering Ashley’s current narrative is about making a big move, who knows if Ashley will consider the offer on the table.
Considering Ben’s grabbing for his torch in this scenario, it could show that Mike is working down to the wire in order to pull off a twist. It’s hard to tell the chronological order of when these screen grabs were taken, as they end without us even looking at the episode’s second challenge, but it doesn’t look like it’s dusk in this photo.

Perhaps it’s just a simple argument between Ben and (insert Solewa tribe member here).
This reaction suggests to me that Survivor season 35 episode 13 will offer a big reward, as both Ryan and Ben, plus Ashley and Chrissy, offer the exact same reaction. It’s weird that Mike isn’t seen in this angle, but maybe he’s dropped down to his knees or taken (literally) aback.
The only hint we have at the Reward Challenge is that it will involve players clipped to a rope maze, in which they must navigate up and over. Likely, it will be sectioned off into multiple tiers, with players eliminated at different segments.
