Chrissy Hofbeck – Fish out of water

Despite how other players perceive Chrissy at this point in the game (and later, outside of the game), it’s hard to ignore the sheer odds placed in front of her. There’s only one real scenario I can see a possible win for Chrissy, but it does solidify the best look at her from a winner’s edit perspective.

If she sits beside Mike and Devon, Chrissy can sell herself as somebody who made the biggest turnaround of the season. She started out on Day 3, balled up on her side and puked her guts out. She was the oldest player of the season, overcoming the challenges of making the merge despite being the weakest in a group of Hero-types. She made the right partnerships before the merge that carried her and her alliance into a power position, taking out most of her threats in quick succession.

To cap things off, Chrissy turned out to become a real challenge performer. Even if she doesn’t win any of the remaining challenges (and somebody wins both), at the minimum, she will tie for the most Immunity wins of the season. She can argue that she fought hard to earn her spot despite her alliance crumbling in front of her, compared to Devon who gave up Immunity for a back rub and Mike who turned into a comedy routine.

Ryan, JP, possibly Ben and possibly Joe vote for her in that situation, while she could be set up for some sort of tie.
