The winner of Survivor season 35, Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers, conquered in a 5-2-1 vote. With all but one vote visible, who was Chrissy’s second vote?

We now know about the definite Final 4 plans for Survivor season 35, Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers, after seeing it in action. We now know that Survivor Ghost Island is about the mistakes of legends past after getting a look at a preview during last night’s reunion. We even know exactly what is under Ben’s right shoulder bandage, as he provided insight into it.

One thing that wasn’t clear after reading the votes is who exactly voted for whom. Ashley was shown voting for Chrissy, Lauren was shown voting for Ben and Devon was shown voting for Ryan, but with a 5-2-1 victory for Ben Driebergen, a final mystery surrounded who the heck also voted for Chrissy to win Survivor season 35.

As luck would have it, former player and popular podcaster, Rob Cesternino, was uncovering all the remaining secrets of the season in his finale exit interviews, concluding with 5th place Mike Zahalsky about his gameplay when a sudden revelation was shared. When asking Mike about whether or not his vote was set on Ben before entering Tribal Council, Mike corrected him by saying he voted for Chrissy.

Mike explains that if you stack up their stats on all aspects of the game, Chrissy had an admirable run in Survivor season 35. Although he has self-doubt in his decision, he argues that Chrissy’s four Individual Immunities outperforms Ben’s three Immunity Idols. Additionally, both Ben and Chrissy found themselves at the bottom of the tribe, yet only Chrissy can escape her way back to a power position.

Even though Mike believes that Ben is an amazing player and a deserving winner (one he wants to see back in an all-winners season), both he and Ashley ended up voting for Chrissy for who they wanted to see win the million-dollar prize. Mike’s earnest complexity makes him a great character and an even greater person.
