One of the snarkiest players from Survivor Gabon that made it to the merge, Corinne Kaplan (aka Petty White) turns 39 years old today.

Player: Corinne Kaplan
Occupation: Clinical Consultant / Podcast Host
Hometown: Los Angeles, CA
Seasons: Survivor Gabon, Caramoan
Tribes: Kota (Yellow Buff), Fang (Red Buff), Nobag (Blue Buff) in Gabon, Bikal (Purple Buff), Enil Edam (Green Buff) in Caramoan
Finished: 7/18 in Gabon, 12/20 in Caramoan

One thing you don’t see too much of in current Survivor is players you can outright cheer against. Even Joe Mena, who is a loudmouth in the game and out of it, was given a real personable side when talking about his family during Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers. Sure, Scot Pollard was a clear case for someone who played the heel role, but nobody went as intentionally mean as Corinne Kaplan ever did.

Corinne is the kind of player that, when thinking back to their play, was a lot more strategic than giving credit. Sure, many will remember her epic barbs shared about her fellow contestants in confessionals (including enough fire and fervor to burn down a forest), but she was willing to see outside her wants and needs in Survivor Gabon to strengthen the Onion alliance she held that kept Kota winning almost all of their challenges.

Still, though, as members of her alliance dwindled and she was sent packing, she wasn’t going to leave the game without a fight. In a crucial moment at the Final Tribal Council, Corinne Kaplan gave as stinging a series of remarks to Susie and Sugar as one can remember, including surpassing the stings of what Sue Hawk could ever muster.

That speech allowed Corinne Kaplan to come back in Survivor Caramoan, as she was deemed one of the Favorites that went up against the fans. Although she strengthened bonds with her Favorites counterparts, her willingness to go to bat for Michael and bury Phillip Sheppard right at the merge proved costly.

Although she’s been on the s***list for CBS due to her wildly entertaining, but curt, behavior, she makes good use of it alongside Max Dawson in their podcast, Survivor ATF. In addition to going off about her various pettiness about people who annoy them in their everyday lives, Corinne and Max also sound off about the personal, behind-the-scenes stories of the lives of key Survivor players outside of the show. Plus, her Brutal Cast Assessments as part of her RHAP coverage are must-listens, as she mercilessly cuts down the cast before they even get a chance to have their play make TV.
