Five days, 24 people (eighteen fans, six former Survivor players), one Survival Challenge 2018 winner! Applications are open for the next few days.
One of the unfortunate realities for most fans of Survivor is that you are inherently very unlikely to ever compete on the show for a million dollars, even if you send in an application every single year. Spending days away from family in order to compete in challenges, make alliances and compete to stay in the game seems so fun, so one group has made it their goal to recreate the experience with an ongoing Survival Challenge.
Formerly under the name of the Durham Warriors Project, Survival Challenge 2018 will bring six former Survivor players and eighteen fans together to compete in a series of physically and mentally-demanding challenges across five days of play in Macomb, Illinois from June 20 to June 24, 2018.
If you are interested in becoming one of those 18 players wanting to outwit, outplay and outlast the competition, you can send in an application for Survival Challenge 2018 at this link. You must complete an application by January 31 at midnight, and you must be able to make it out to Macomb, IL and compete across June 20 – June 24, as well as pledge a $350 donation to Survival Challenge; a non-profit organization that will donate the proceeds to various charities.
Check out the trailer below for highlights and testimonials from a former Survival Challenge competition, including a bit of Troyzan Robertson from Survivor One World and Game Changers!
Last year, Adam Klein of Survivor Millennials vs. Gen X competed alongside Sunday Burquest, Mama C, Susie Smith, LJ and Thailand’s first boot, John Raymond (who almost won last year!) He’s the one who’s pushing for this year’s Survival Challenge event, showing just how much his appreciation for the game can be after winning the real deal a little over a year ago.
