It feels like every other time Dominic Monaghan appears on a late night talk show program he’s talking about Survivor or Celebrity Survivor in some way. Last year, he was the one beating the drum that such competition could happen and that Jeff Probst is rounding out a list of players interested in flying out to Fiji in order to compete. Certainly, Dominic is able and willing, at the drop of a hat, to clear space in his schedule to fly out.

First off, for those who aren’t massive Lord of the Rings fans, Dominic’s most famous role comes from LOST as Charlie. To a sizable group of people, he’s most famous for running around a jungle-laden island climate, uncovering the mysteries of the island and trying to survive week after week. He’s an affable guy that can hold his own in competitions and get along with others easily, making him perfect for the role of a Celebrity Survivor castaway.

Because of his prominence, however, he might have a target on his back. People in this show are willing to find any reason to eliminate a strong player before they can make a deep run, but if he gets on a tribe with Neil Patrick Harris (or at least swap onto a tribe with him or both make the merge), they might have a pre-show alliance cooking in order to propel them both further in the game.
