Jenna Marbles

It wouldn’t be a Celebrity season without an Instagram model or YouTube sensation to make their way onto the show. For Celebrity Survivor, since she wasn’t tapped for Big Brother, I could see her doing extremely well in this competition.

She’s big into Survivor and Big Brother as evidenced by her social media posts, bringing an underrated strategic element that I believe would be looked over by older players on her season. That knowledge of the game, plus her bubbly personality, would give her a perfect cover in order for her to navigate alliances, bring key players in and make big moveswith only Dan Gheesling (who is also on YouTube and Twitch these days) possibly knowing the extent of her abilities.

While I have no issues with her ability to play, nor concerns about her on the island, I would have to wonder if a group of her celebrity peers would be willing to award a younger YouTuber the title of Sole Survivor at the Final Tribal Council if she made it that far. Those who don’t appreciate her style of comedy (read: the age of people competing alongside her, in this prospective season) may find her abrasive in the underlying sense that other younger women in past seasons who make it to the end are perceived.

Depending on how they edit her, Jenna Marbles could be a hit that brings in a younger generation of viewers to watch the show, similar to fellow YouTuber Mari Takahashi from Millennials vs. Gen X. Hopefully, she wouldn’t suffer the same fate!
