Ronda Rousey

Literally, just as I was writing her entry into my list of potential Celebrity Survivor players, not only does she appear in the Royal Rumble at WWE, but she signed a full-time contract with the organization. Below are my impressions of her being cast for the season had she the availability I’m not sure she may have anymore:

Even though Survivor has had athletes on the show countless times, none have combined the raw talent of strength and endurance plus the ability to naturally feed into both hero or villain archetypes (as necessary) as Rondy Rousey. The former UFC star has seen the ups and downs of the combat sports business, knocking out others and being knocked out herself in record time. Her strength in challenges, plus an ability to smack-talk enemies, would make her a strong number and an entertaining heel.

Should she appear in Celebrity Survivor, I would expect her to make it fairly deep in the game, able to best the numerous other older players in competitions of strength and endurance and hold her own in puzzles. However, finding her way into an alliance of people who know one very public side of her may dig her an early grave. Plus, there’s the whole possibility she will make her way to the WWE and take away her ability to compete altogether.
