Survivor winner Jenna Morasca facing DUI, drug charges
The winner of Survivor: The Amazon, Jenna Morasca, was allegedly revived with Narcan after a driving incident on January 25 earlier this year.
According to multiple reports, including one from WPXI in Pittsburgh and, more notably, on TMZ, Survivor: The Amazon winner and All-Stars player Jenna Morasca was allegedly arrested for DUI and the possession of narcotics paraphernalia and may be charged for assaulting a police officer.
The reported incident happened on January 25, with a witness spotting Jenna Morasca in her vehicle at a Washington, Pennsylvania intersection passed out in front of a stop sign. The vehicle was still running, per a police report, and she was seen by police “placing a Ziploc bag filled with syringes in her purse.”
From there, she was reportedly administered Narcan; an FDA-approved nasal spray used in the treatment of a known or suspected opioid overdose. Upon trying to place her in an ambulance, she reportedly resisted officers and had bit one police officer on the arm.
Jenna Morasca was no stranger to the Survivor community after her appearances competing on the show. She hosted a TVGuide special on the first 18 winners of the show, attended a 10-year anniversary party and was in a relationship with fellow winner Ethan Zohn. She’s an important part of the show’s history, being the first female winner to win the most Immunity Challenges on their own on the way to victory. She is also the youngest female winner and was the youngest overall until Fabio Birza won in Survivor Nicaragua.

The timing of this unfortunate news could not be worse, considering today is also Jenna Morasca’s 37th birthday. She’s had a rough go of the show since the first appearance, pulling herself out of Survivor All-Stars after rightfully guessing her ailing mother had a worsening health condition. The opioid crisis is out of control in North America, and all we can do is hope for the best for Jenna.
