Survivor competitors: Casting The Amazing Race with 10 Survivor duos

While there were plenty of showmantically-involved people in Survivor Millennials vs. Gen X, none had quite the comradery of Bret LaBelle and Chris Hammons from the Gen X tribe. One a gay conservative cop from Boston and the other a straight liberal lawyer from Oklahoma, the two became famously friendly with each other in a way that you couldn’t write up even in an 80s comedy action movie.

More important than their labels was the fact that the two could feed off each others’ emotions and cheer each other up after knowing each other for just a few weeks in the manner old friends could. They’re both true competitors that have the physicality to compete in challenges, know how to fly under the radar for social aspects of the game and are grounded enough to find their way through cities they’ve never visited.

Plus, getting to hear Bret’s loudmouth kneejerk Bostonian reactions to different cultures around the world would be excellent entertainment value!
