Survivor competitors: Casting The Amazing Race with 10 Survivor duos

Abi-Maria Gomes + R.C. Saint-Amour

Although it’s not common in every season, The Amazing Race has had plenty of trainwreck teams that somehow manage to go far in their seasons despite being at odds with each other from the start. To capture that mentality through Survivor, I could find no better combination of players than the “alliance” of Abi-Maria Gomes and R.C. Saint-Amour from Survivor Philippines; one of the oddest core duos I can remember.

The two had massive control over Tandang as a tribe, but Abi-Maria’s paranoia certainly got the best of her. Even though the two worked together until R.C.’s departure at the merge, it seems like R.C. had to herd a wild werewolf always ready to pounce on her in an attack. One minute Abi’s talking about how they’re friends; the next she’s saying if R.C. f—s with her, she’s dead.

The duo would want to win the money and compete good enough in challenges, but if they were cast in a season of The Amazing Race, they would be the team audiences would cringe to in reaction. Feeling bad for R.C. while the two somehow continue to push each other past other teams, the dynamic relationship would be competitive television gold.
