Though it seems to be out of the cards, just for fun, Jeff Probst rattled off his thoughts on some prospective players on a Celebrity Survivor season.

I had never figured to talk about a hypothetical Celebrity Survivor twice in the same day, but here we are, looking at ET Canada’s latest preseason interview with Survivor host Jeff Probst. Talking with Erin Cebula, she brings up the fact that this mythical season with Hollywood celebrities is something of a myth, as it will be near impossible to pull off. Instead, she asks about how certain players would perform on the show.

Several of the players mentioned are some that I have already brought up when hypothetically casting a Celebrity Survivor season, including Neil Patrick Harris, Pamela Anderson and Tyler Perry (the latter of which is tied to the show’s history with the idea for the Survivor Cagayan super idol). Others are much more fun from a personality perspective, including Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who Jeff instantly exclaims would be his favorite in the game.

Other celebrities discussed include Justin Bieber (it would be painful if a pop star with a notorious personality would be the first Canadian to play), Mariah Carey, Jimmy Fallon, Ryan Seacrest and, finally, Oprah. As soon as that suggestion is given, you could see Jeff Probst walk back who he thinks would win a Celebrity Survivor season, as nobody would be compelled to vote her out.

That’s part of the difficulty in finding a cast of celebrities willing to play the game like that for even 14 days, let alone 25 additional days that a regular Survivor season requires. There’s no way Oprah is going to suffer for chump change when she’s worth close to $3 billion, nor is Jimmy Fallon or The Rock going to find time in their schedules to compete in such a way.

It’s just another fun thought exercise as we continue to inch closer to the debut of Ghost Island on Wednesday, February 28 at 8 p.m. ET.
