Survivor Ghost Island episode 3 photos tease the swap
There’s not much to glean from the Survivor Ghost Island episode three photos, but there are external clues about what to expect.
Warning: This post may include hints of spoilers for Survivor Ghost Island episode 3 based on contextual clues.
Last night’s Survivor Ghost Island premiere was a thrilling two-hour adventure. We laughed, we cried, we saw games cut down too early and players burning through all of their game in the span of six days, flaming out like a meteorite crashing down to earth. Whether you’re a fan of who went home or not, you can’t say the experience was uneventful!
The excitement continues into Survivor Ghost Island episode three, too, as the “Next Time On” segment teased the swap. CBS has released some of the photos from this upcoming episode, offering us a brief glimpse of what to expect as players from Malolo and Naviti drop their buffs.
Here you can see the Naviti tribe walking into the meetup. While I’m certain production has them lines up in a certain way for filming purposes, it looks like Desiree is fairly in front of the rest of her tribe and Sebastian is holding their tribe flag.
Brendan looks to be leading the tribe from the front for Malolo, with Michael holding the flag from the back. If there is any doubt about who is in charge of this tribe, you can see it from the dynamics of this photo.
One of the few things we do get to see is everyone’s reaction as Donathan Hurley returns from Ghost Island. He returns with a smile, most of Malolo’s reactions are unseen, but Desiree is giving one hell of a scowl in nobody’s general direction.

Survivor Ghost Island episode three gives us the moment of truth; “Everybody, drop your buffs!” Interesting to note is that this angle cuts off so much of the beach. My guess, based on the fact that there are just two tribes with a two-player difference at this point, is that we will see a third tribe introduced, splitting players 6-6-6. On Game Changers, we saw this tribe breakdown occur, especially after Mana lost two members in a row. Will green be the third tribe color this time around?
