Wow, what a start to Survivor Ghost Island! Not only did we focus so much on one departed player so much that he got as many confessionals as all the women combined, but we saw strategy, humanity and down-to-earth fun. Survivor is exciting from the jump, and boy has it felt like a while since that’s happened.
Of course, no good deed goes unpunished, as any storylines between Naviti and Malolo tribes will be tossed aside immediately. Survivor Ghost Island episode 3 will feature a tribe swap, meaning players like Stephanie, Domenick, Chris and Donathan could possibly find themselves in a pickle. However, it does give us the chance to learn more about Chelsea, Libby, Bradley and Angela, all who had zero confessionals in the first two hours of the season.
The biggest question right now remains how these tribes are going to switch things up. In Game Changers, we saw Mana and Nuku transform into three groups of six, with Tavua becoming fairly dominant in feats of strength, dexterity and intelligence. With 10 Naviti players and 8 Malolo players available, does it make much sense to split them up into two groups again?

It’s hard to tell because the last season of Survivor showed a unique tribe swap; three tribes swapping into three tribes, whittling down until the merge of 12 came along. Of course, CBS wants to try new things with this show all the time, but the Ghost Island aspects of Survivor Ghost Island will certainly take care of that.
