Libby Vincek was clearly sick and tired of receiving votes tonight on Survivor, but she will not have to worry about her name being written down ever again.
The latest Survivor Ghost Island episode began with Libby being concerned about receiving two votes at the previous tribal council. She thought it was unanimous against Chris, but this was not the case. Angela thought the plan was to vote out Libby, and Desiree likely voted this way to protect against a Chris Noble idol.
Libby kept seeing her name involved in backup plans and was terrified of when her name became the real plan. At the reward, Libby voiced her concerns to her fellow tribe members. Angela essentially said that it is going to be hard for her to get her name off of the chopping block at this point, being ever so helpful and comforting in the process.
We see Libby being accused as half of a power couple along with Michael. Libby is still on the bottom because of the Malolo minority. She is seen as the best friend of the biggest target of the five, so her name is always going to be in the conversation.
Libby and Michael did not have the relationships with Naviti that Laurel and Donathon did. Laurel and Donathan not only had an in with Naviti but are considered the closest allies of power players Wendell and Domenick. This limits the amount of wiggle room available to Libby. Jenna said she is on the bottom but was not shown to be in any trouble during this episode of Survivor Ghost Island.
Laurel and Donathan had an opportunity to make a move against Wendell, noting how they were in the middle of two groups. However, this would not make any sense for them so early. I would not consider this move until sometime when there are 8-10 people remaining. The two guys that are currently preventing them from being on the bottom are not the guys they should be taking out.
Betsided
Once the duo is able to gain greater footing in the game, then the move makes sense. Wendell would have been an epic blindside candidate, but where does that leave them? They would clearly be on the bottom and have lost the trust of all original Naviti players.
We see that Libby ends up actually voting for Michael. This shows that Libby was no longer counting on the votes of Laurel and Donathan. The numbers were not there for a move, so she wants to make sure that Michael is the one with the majority of the votes. If she is certain that she is in the minority, she has to worry that Michael realizes this, as well. Michael could potentially vote Libby, so this vote for Michael is justified.
While Libby and Michael are perceived as a power couple, they were clearly not super close. Michael’s idol certainly comes as a complete surprise to Libby. If Libby knows about this idol in advance, her gameplay would have been far different. Libby knew that Michael was the biggest threat, and Libby would have then entered total panic mode.

This allows Libby to get slightly complacent and plan ahead. She votes with the rest of the tribe and keeps her options open for the rest of the game. With Michael out of the game, she could have been seen as a key number since she would have been without her number one ally. At the end of the day, Libby ended up being the victim of a vote split that she ironically played a role in.
