Survivor Ghost Island power rankings episode 9: Sluggers

5. Angela Perkins

Any qualms I had about Angela in this game are all but forgotten. Survivor Ghost Island episode 9 showed her abilities as a player that has been hidden from the audience since the beginning.

There’s a certain amount of balance in story, character and gameplay in Survivor, and we’re starting to see all come to fruiting with Angela. In the past episode, we saw her display a bit of goofy, fun confidence as she devoured gross food while whipping the competition. She played into her military background in a confessional as she took to socializing in camp.

Most importantly, Angela started using her social game to take a gameplay move in someone else’s favor and started to use it to her advantage. Even though it makes sense to Michael to work with Angela (someone who was almost betrayed by Naviti), she then flipped things around and put the active target on him, forcing him to use an idol and keep him in the public eye.

Angela came to play (even if she arrived as a player a bit later than expected).
