In a pivotal episode of Survivor Ghost Island, the promos highlight exactly how Jeff Probst and the audience will see two players sent home this week.
One of the biggest problems with Survivor sporting 20-player seasons is that it becomes hard to fit in all their stories to make the roughly 14-episode run each season has. Recently, CBS has employed a strategy that sees two players go home in two separate Tribal Councils. Unfortunately, that method often rushes the end of two players’ journeys, forcing the editors to make their overall stories inconsequential or unsatisfyingly concluded.
Thankfully, production is willing to try to change their formula in order to make a more satisfactory double elimination episode. Survivor Ghost Island episode 10 will see two separate Tribal Councils happen right after one, confirmed in the longer of two promos recently released on the SurvivorCBS YouTube channel.
But first, we have an Immunity Challenge to compete in! Players will have to hold a straight-bar in a curled up position in order to clamp a ball between two sets of jaws. If a player lets go of their pressure, the ball will drop and it will fall, eliminating them from this challenge. Another twist in this challenge; two people will win Immunity this week. They will be safe for the two Tribal Councils coming on Day 29 of Survivor Ghost Island.
It seems pretty straightforward, but there are some who question the format of this week’s episode. The ultimate fear is that somebody will be Michelle Yi’d out of this game in a split group Tribal, splitting the ten players into two groups to have their own separate Tribal Councils. However, it seems more like a Cook Islands scenario than anything else, where after voting out one member of their tribe they suddenly had to do it again that same night.
