3. Laurel Johnson

Right now, Laurel is making the right moves to keep her longer in the game. Sure, they help keep players like Dom, Kellyn and Wendell safe, and all those players are the likeliest to win if they make it to the Final Tribal Council, but without looking out for Dom and Wendell, Laurel could just as easily be targetted as a Malolo player and booted out the door.

Though she got a bit of blowback from Desiree, much of that monicker should dissipate now that the girl is out of the game. Six players still don’t know the extent of how close Laurel and Donathan are to the Naviti power players, and a double Tribal Council episode should be the perfect moment to pounce on a plan of attack.

Survivor Ghost Island has been particularly heavy with its meta-commentary, going so far as to include players making comparisons to past players, use relics from past seasons and openly talk about riding coattails and building a resume for the jury. Laurel is doing her best to get an opportunity to present a case.
