Survivor: Blood vs. Water 3’s field grows stronger by the day as Parvati Shallow and John Fincher have recently welcomed their first child.

Though Boston Rob and Amber Brkich were the original Survivor couple, the island community has grown over the past few years. Castaways meet each other at charity events or elsewhere, get engaged, get married, break up seemingly every year, but it is a more recent trend for children to enter the picture.

Just days after following Survivor Blood vs. Water’s Tyson Apostol and Rachel Foulger welcoming their second childMicronesia winner Parvati Shallow introduced the world to a newborn of her own! Her and husband John Fincher of Survivor Samoa are the proud parents of a beautiful baby girl, with Parvati sharing the news on her Instagram account.

There is no shortage of accolades for Parvati Shallow when it comes to Survivor. She’s one of a handful of players to make it to the Final Tribal Council twice, winning her second time out and coming dangerously close her third time. Instead, she lost out to Sandra Diaz-Twine, who did become the first and only two-time winner in the show’s history.

John Fincher has a less prestigious Survivor career but has done incredible work outside of the island. Making the jury in his only season, he is a literal rocket scientist; a feat accomplished by few Americans and even few players of the game.

Selfishly, some fans of the show have shown a vested interest in an all-winners season or one filled with legendary players. With David vs. Goliath being all newcomers and season 38 wrapping filming with four returnee captains, there is a demand for something special concerning the 39th and 40th seasons of the show.

Even if Parvati or John never make it back to the island, perhaps their child will compete in season 77! Either way, we send our congratulations to the happy couple on behalf of the Surviving Tribal community.
