Survivor rumor: Sierra Dawn Thomas on shortlist for The Challenge
Someone with insider knowledge on MTV’s The Challenge has hinted at a shortlist of contestants for a future season, including Sierra Dawn Thomas.
We’ve previously mentioned that there are a ton of options of other reality competitions you can watch during the long USA Survivor offseason. Whether it’s Big Brother 20, a fan-made season currently in progress, that ABC show Castaways or even Australian Survivor, there are tons of options if you’re willing and interested.
However, it’s once players actually appear on Survivor that some gain notoriety or even miniature fandoms following them. The number of people who (un)ironically refer to Sierra Dawn Thomas as the fan-favorite game-changer is non-insignificant, even before she truly earned that moniker during the Game Changers season.
Still, her fans should be on the lookout for even more reality show competition opportunities, as she will reportedly have more than just Celebrity Fear Factor to look forward to in 2018. An insider for The Challenge on MTV reports that Sierra Dawn Thomas is on the shortlist of players approached by production to bring onto a future season.

“LurkerOnVevmo” on Twitter insists that these contestants haven’t been contacted for The Challenge 33, but are in the running. Furthermore, though Michaela Bradshaw and Desi Williams are not in the running this season, it does not mean that the producers aren’t interested in them showing up in the future.
For those who are unaware of what The Challenge is in format (like me before writing this post), it’s a spinoff of Real World and Road Rules where teams compete in a series of individual and group challenges (changing per week). Cash prizes are awarded every week from $25,000 to $0, and teams can be eliminated in weeks or even enter Redemption Island-like seclusion.

The Challenge, in all honesty, attracts the thirstiest reality television personalities and focuses more on petty and exploitative drama than prestige reality competitions such as Survivor. That’s not to say that if Sierra Dawn Thomas competes in that show, she’ll be branded as such, but it should be noted two people got two teams disqualified in the current season’s opening episode for violence.
