Though Network Ten has been trying to hide him until a shocking later reveal, Russell Hantz has been spotted in an Australian Survivor season 3 profile.

It was previously reported by Survivor‘s most reliable insider, but the visual evidence of Russell Hantz competing in Australian Survivor: Champions v Contenders is mounting.

Previously, earlier reports were thought to be unfounded, considering that 16 of 24 of the castaways for the upcoming season of Australian Survivor have already been revealed and the season debuts in Australia next Wednesday, August 1. However, during a video profile for astrophysicist Samuel, there are a select number of frames visible that showcase a portly Russell Hantz.

Though the point for audiences of the CBS show is to scout for the most notorious player in the show’s history (not named Phillip Sheppard), it is worth pointing out that Samuel’s video is hilarious and charming. Still, it was Goldd96 on Reddit who posted the video series in a non-geoblocked manner, and he was the one to highlight Russell Hantz in the video link that you can click right here.

It’s a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment, but you can see the screenshot below at 1:16. In order to see one of the few frames where Russell Hantz is visible, you will need to push the video forward, frame by frame, by pressing “.” on your keyboard while clicking on the video. If you go too far, you can back up in single frames by pressing “,”.

The short bearded individual on the left is none other than Russell Hantz, indicating that he will compete in Australian Survivor: Champions v Contenders as a champion. I’m still confused as to how he received that moniker, as he’s the only player to compete in back-to-back seasons of Survivor and fail to win, finishing in second and third, respectively.

Regardless, Australian Survivor has produced some of the most entertaining gameplay from a professional standpoint in the past few years, so I can only imagine how the eclectic group of people will deal with the “Ego the Living Planet” that is the Russell Hantz Experience™.
