One of the greatest seasons of any version in the past few years, Survivor Maryland: All-Stars sets the stage for the finale episode next week.

We’ve talked about it a few times over the summer, but you absolutely need to be watching Survivor Maryland: All-Stars. Though the finale episode will air Monday night (somehow finishing before CBS announces the David vs. Goliath cast, likely), it’s included great twists that the CBS show needs to do, amazing gameplay and has been a rollercoaster of a dynamic story. You still have time to binge through it this weekend!

Please do so before watching the finale intro posted this week by host Austin Trupp, as it contains spoilers for the Final Five players (as does the text below), how they got to the end and talking to the players themselves about their journey. After watching the first three episodes, if you had told me at the time that Chris T, Victoria and Ashley made it to the end of the season, I would have thought you were crazy.

Yet, here we are, as Eric King and Holly Rutkowski were able to pull off what more than 75% of the cast couldn’t do; make it to the end. Still, the editing and narrative this season has been so strong that even as the preseason favorites get knocked out one after another, new favorites have emerged.

Eric King has done a 180 on his previous season, kicking things off after LeCompte got voted out. Ashley has been the true underdog throughout, yet has quietly become a jury threat that nobody saw coming. Holly Rutkowski has socially dominated the field and worked hard to get to the end. Victoria has worked with her secret partner to earn the twist’s advantages, securing her spot. Chris Thomas magic’d his way to the end, and you can’t convince me otherwise. It’d be an amazing finish if he won.
