Here are the 20 people that will stand the ultimate underdog versus champion battles of will, strength and smarts in Survivor: David vs. Goliath.
Survivor has always had a latent “underdog” story to it in most seasons. CBS thought it would be fun to separate the tribes by designated underdogs and champions upfront by creating Survivor: David vs. Goliath, and today we finally get to know more about who’s representing which today.
CBS has officially revealed the Survivor: David vs. Goliath cast today, providing the names, occupations and player-answered bios for everyone on the island. Apparently, the Goliaths only live in California, with one in South Carolina, another in Nevada, one from Kansas and the person whose agent leaked his name before the season started properly being known as a “Florida Hot Cop.”
Here are the 20 members of the Survivor: David vs. Goliath cast, as broken down by tribe, age, hometown and occupation (as listed by CBS):
David Tribe (Orange Buff)

From strictly an age perspective, it appears as though the David tribe has a slight advantage over the Goliaths. To become titans of industry, you need to put in the work, although there are some relatively early bloomers (the youngest being 24). However, even in the tribal phase, there are strategic, teamwork and puzzle aspects of survival, meaning it’s still up in the air.
One thing’s for certain, I hope that we don’t see a challenge imbalance like we’ve seen in Australian Survivor: Champions vs. Contenders. Currently airing, the early game saw a lot of physical activities seemingly favoring the tribe of athletes. The dynamics are a bit different on CBS, though, as there are some twists in store.
