Angelina Keeley is young, but her success in life has already given her a spot on the Goliath tribe. Angelina will want to continue her success on Survivor.
Coming into David vs. Goliath, I knew that there had to be younger personalities on the Goliath tribe. This is just how Survivor works. What I was quite wary about though, was the fact that sometimes the show will force people onto a themed tribe just to make up the numbers. This always happens with Brains vs. Brawn vs. Beauty in particular. Angelina Keeley, on the other hand, is certainly deserving of the Goliath title.
When looking at Angelina’s occupation, all you see is a financial consultant. This comes across as basic, but it does not do her justice. As her CBS bio indicates, she is heavily involved in politics. Her accomplishments within student government organizations are rather impressive.
She created an organization that helps young girls attain leadership positions within their middle and high schools. In today’s political landscape we still see a vast majority of men holding offices, and this gets to the root of the problem. Through her program, women will be able to lead from a young age.
Angelina has her fair share of leadership experience herself. She was the student-body president of Stanford, overseeing thousands of fellow top-tier students. It is clear that politics is more than just a hobby to her, even listing people not voting as one of her pet peeves.
Not only did she go to Stanford University, the same place as Adam Klein, but they went there at the same time! She is friends with a former winner. This automatically has to increase her chance of success, especially because Adam’s playing style is repeatable. Although advice can only get you so far, she will have a leg up at the opening stages since she may know what to expect.
Angelina is not a lifelong Survivor fan, but her family always was. She was sold on the show once Adam won, and has watched the majority of the seasons since then. Her binge-watching is something many hardcore Survivor fans can resonate with.
Her husband is in the military, and this is going to be her motivation out there on the island. This will keep her going, and it is always important to have someone back home to help you keep your eyes on the prize.
Because of her experience in empowering younger women, she might not want to be on a tribe with an outright male leader like you often see on Survivor. This will come with both pros and cons. The negative side is that she may but heads with the leader early on, instead of letting him paint a target on his back.
If she makes the merge, however, this would help her odds of winning in the end. She would make sure that she always gets credit for moves she plays a role in. With her outspoken background, I would not want to mess with her at a final tribal council.
I see her being voted out around the same time as Kellyn was on Ghost Island. I think Angelina will be one of the bigger characters of the season. I do not see her as the winner in the end, but I feel like she will make the merge and end up as a real threat to win before being taken out. This season we will find out if she can follow in her friend Adam’s and create a Stanford dynasty.
