Survivor: David vs. Goliath – Potential winners and losers from a tribe swap
Three episodes into Survivor: David vs. Goliath and there doesn’t seem to be a definite majority alliance in either tribe, making for a perfect opportunity to swap.
One of the most entertaining elements of Survivor is that of castaways trying to gain their footing after an early tribe swap. This is when we get to watch great players emerge as they’re able to adapt and build new relationships. At this point, it’s impossible to tell how this twist will change the social dynamics of this season.
However, there are always people on both tribes that could benefit or suffer from a tribal swap. Let’s look at five castaways from Survivor: David vs. Goliath that fit into those two categories. Who are potentially the biggest winners and losers coming into next episode’s swap?
5) Winner: Christian
Three episodes in and it’s hard to argue that anyone else has played a better social game than Christian. He has two people who trust him implicitly in Gabby and Nick. He has voted with Elizabeth and Lyrsa in the past and they also seem to trust him. Plus, when Bi, Davie, and Carl were disappointed about the blindside they all went to Christian to understand where everyone stood.
Christian has control over the David tribe, so whoever ends up on his team after the swap will likely stay loyal to him. He’s also proved to be strong at puzzles and very charismatic, two attributes on Survivor that would help to keep him off the chopping block at this point in the game.
5) Loser: Alec Merlino
We haven’t seen much from Alec yet, which isn’t a good sign. The only people we’ve seen him get along with are some of the younger Goliath members like Natalia and Dan. So if most of that crew doesn’t stay together after the swap, Alec may find himself on the wrong side of the numbers fast. Alec is also a huge physical threat and we’re starting to get to the point in the game where people think ahead and use that as a reason to vote someone out.
