Survivor: David vs. Goliath episode 5 press photos: Snakes and ladders
After holding back on most photos to prevent spoilers, the Survivor: David vs. Goliath episode 5 press photos show off all of the castaways in the wild.
Warning: This post will show the Survivor: David vs. Goliath episode 5 press photos, including parts of the challenge and a player with a new buff.
I can’t recall a swap episode quite like the one we saw earlier this week on Survivor: David vs. Goliath. Not only did we have a player quit before players even dropped their buffs, but a clear 3-2 Goliath majority on each tribe still saw a Goliath go home without the use of an Immunity Idol.
It took until the next day after the episode aired for the majority of last week’s press photos were made available, but without swap spoilers ahead, CBS was able to post the majority of Survivor: David vs. Goliath episode 5 press photos fairly early on.
Though we didn’t get to see much of Jabeni tribe in the last episode, we now have the chance to see how the tribe is handling yet another round of tough weather. It’s great to see Angelina laugh about with the Davids of her tribe.
Seriously, look at how great this tribe gets along with one another! It’s the stuff of legends, even with just five players on it and a no-brainer split.
Wait a minute, where did all the smiles go? Why is Mike White looking befuddled or distraught? Why is Nick using his serious face? Why is Angelina looking so forlorn?
Oh, it’s because Napalm Natalie has carpet bombed the Jabeni tribe. While a picture is worth a thousand words, there are plenty of Survivor: David vs. Goliath episode 5 press photos to tell very different stories.
See? Everyone on Jabeni is having a bit of a laugh, even as the rain begins to pour down on the players. I don’t think I’ve seen Natalie laugh this much in the game.
Meanwhile, at the Vuku tribe, Alec Merlino looks like he’s thinking, “I’ve made a huge mistake.” Obviously, we cannot know that for sure, but it’s a possibility after blindsiding his closest allies in the game.
The hammock is usually the power seat in Survivor, and Elizabeth surely earned it after the hustle she pulled to stay safe in the previous episode.
Now that Carl’s found a new tribe, he’s doing what he’s done best before; making friends while working on the shelter. It looks like he and Alec are making repairs to the storm that was teased on the “Next Time On Survivor” preview.
There were plenty of Tiva photos last episode, so we’re going to jump to the tribes arriving on time to react to the reward at the Survivor: David vs. Goliath episode 5 Reward Challenge.
The reward; the eggs part of the titular “Jacket and Eggs.” Chickens to eat or produce eggs will help with the players desperate for some protein.
The reward challenge is fairly straightforward. Two players from each tribe will run to grab two giant poles to poke giant beanbags off of a high-up net. From there, it looks like once all are obtained, a player will either hit two small targets using a gigantic slingshot or place a beanbag onto a platform from afar.
Here’s a look at Dan Rengering stepping up for the Tiva tribe as John looks on with pride and Alison doing some light cheering.
You know strength is lacking on the Jabeni tribe when the oldest player in the game by close to a decade is the one throwing her body on the line for a reward.
The Immunity Challenge has more going for it, combining strength, endurance and dexterity this time around. It starts with a player unroping a ladder to get the rest of their tribe up and over an obstacle.
This is the other side of the first obstacle, although the second obstacle isn’t showing up in the rest of the Survivor: David vs. Goliath episode 5 photos.
The end of the Immunity Challenge sees players feed a ball through a snake puzzle, winding left and right quite ridiculously.
Here is Angelina for Jabemi, John for Tiva and Alec for Vukuin the pivotal final spot of this Immunity Challenge. John and Alec look neck and neck, but I’m certain there will be many drops in this challenge.
