In her exit interviews, Natalia revealed a lot about Alec’s betrayal and the strength of her Goliath alliance. What does that tell us about Survivor: David vs. Goliath moving forward.

Episode 4 of Survivor: David vs. Goliath featured a dramatic Tribal Council that led to Alec having a change of heart, blindsiding Natalia in the process. It was visibly apparent how upset she was at Alec for flipping. That feeling has not changed. Natalia’s interview with Hollywood Life revealed that she still doesn’t respect Alec’s decision. In fact, they are still not on good terms with each other and they will see if that changes at the reunion.

Natalia said that she felt a shift in Alec’s attitude following the tribe swap. From that point onward she felt that he was getting irritated by her and wasn’t making eye contact with her when they spoke. Besides Natalia’s frustration with Alec, we learned a few other interesting points that may have an impact on Survivor: David vs. Goliath in the coming episodes.

There was never a majority alliance on the Goliath tribe. During the second episode of this season, there was a captivating conversation between Natalia, Angelina, and Kara. They formed a tight bond and said they could each bring in a guy from their tribe to form a majority six-person alliance. However, after that scene, there hasn’t been any talk about a majority alliance within the Goliath tribe.

Natalia confirmed in her interview with Hollywood Life that she was tight with Angelina and Kara, but they never had a concrete alliance larger than that. It was more of an idea to secure numbers in the long run as opposed to a handshake, swear on your family agreement. This opens up the playing field, revealing that the Goliath members aren’t tied down to a majority alliance and could potentially work with Davids to take out bigger threats.

Alec and Natalia were never a power couple. Also from that conversation between the three Goliath girls, Natalia made it seem like she had Alec’s trust 100%. Her exit interview on RHAP informed us that she did attempt to build a relationship with Alec, but it just wasn’t clicking as well as she thought it would. This shows how quickly things can change and how we shouldn’t expect that the current “pairs” left in this game will remain loyal to each other for long.

Kara proved to be more loyal to her than Angelina. Following her dramatic blindside, Natalia questioned Kara to see if she was in on Alec’s plan. That wasn’t the case, as Natalia came to the realization that Kara may have been more shocked by Alec’s move than herself. On the other hand, when Angelina swayed the vote from Natalie to Jeremy, Natalia was one of the last people to be notified about this change. So Kara seemed to be more loyal to their alliance, as opposed to Angelina, who clearly has a solid social relationship with many of the Goliath members, not just the girls.

Overall, Natalia Azoqa was an aggressive, straight-forward castaway that wasn’t afraid to push her opinion. We’ll see Wednesday night how the other Goliath members react once they notice that they surprisingly lost a number.
