Survivor: David vs. Goliath episode 5 secret scene: The Brochachos

We saw a bit of the Brochachos alliance during Survivor: David vs. Goliath episode 5, but the secret scene explores its dynamic within Tiva.

Christian has proven himself to be the player in control so far in Survivor: David vs. Goliath. Gabby still wants to work with him in the game, but now he’s found partnerships with the bros of the Goliath members on his tribe, elevating him to the status of King of the Nerds. So far, he’s been the best iteration of casting’s attempt to find the next Cochran because he’s even better.

At least, that’s what the footage shows this season, with even more footage in an expanded secret scene showing just how much everything is coming up Millhouse Hubicki. A day before the tribes would be evacuated (making this an event that actually started in the previous episode), Dan has brought Christian into the realm of the Brochachos, with John as CEO and Christian the Head of Awesome Stuff (HAS).

Christian seems to love and embrace the role he’s found himself in, even going pull-up for pull-up with Dan. Gabby even chimes in with laughter, asking why they’re even doing pull-ups in the middle of camp, leading to a confessional of Christian’s worry that she’s not fitting in or even appearing to fit in with the tribe. He reassures her that she’s his number one, and she does the same.

Considering this is the first Survivor: David vs. Goliath episode that featured two challenges and also had a tribe evacuation, it’s understandable that this scene from the episode was dramatically reduced. It told the exact same story we saw in the previous episode, with a bit more positivity directed towards Christian. We don’t need to beat that drum even harder; we know he’s a great player.

Still, for all this talk about Gabby not fitting in, even in the secret scene Alison is nowhere to be found. Nobody has insisted that Alison isn’t mixing it up with the players, yet her invisibility is worrying for her story within the game.
