Despite being bonded by their home state of Texas, the Survivor: David vs. Goliath episode 6 secret scene shows early tension for Carl and Elizabeth.

With the most recent episode of Survivor: David vs. Goliath closing out the pre-merge phase, personal relationships have never been more important in the game. When it comes to finding a voting target, you want to be providing input on others’ decisions instead of finding yourself as the king or queen of Ponderosa.

Elizabeth on Vuku is in an alliance with Carl and Davie by circumstance only, as their David majority numbers were more important than her blindside of Jessica at the first Tribal Council. You can see just how much friction was boiling up underneath the surface of Vuku camp life during Wednesday night’s airing, but there were even more moments that didn’t make the cut.

The Survivor: David vs. Goliath episode 6 secret scene starts out a little bit sillier than you’d expect, with Elizabeth trying to tie the chickens won on the reward to posts so they can start making eggs. One of them scampers away, however, with Carl, Elizabeth and Davie chasing after the little bugger.

Normally, these “loose chicken chase” scenes make the regular episode, but it covered the same threads seen at Vuku. Elizabeth is rubbing Carl and Davie the wrong way for more subtle reasons; her apparent know-it-all attitude about how chickens’ personalities based on being speckled or not is the deciding factor.

Survivor: David vs. Goliath episode 6’s conflict scene drew on Elizabeth’s personality more, as she turned from cogent, hard-working mom into Sandy Cheeks from SpongeBob SquarePants. What should have been her tender moment did not sell well with Davie and Carl, and it drove the idea that she is their voting target.

Once again, the secret scene isn’t that much stronger or more necessary than what made it to air on Survivor: David vs. Goliath.
