Survivor: David vs. Goliath merge power rankings: Valley of Elah
3. John Hennigan
You would think that being the strongest, most agile player in Survivor: David vs. Goliath would make John Hennigan the primary merge target. However, part of this season’s excellence lies in just how messy the merge is going to be. Plenty of alliances are getting back together, many Goliaths need to bridge the gaps in their games, and people are flipping left, right and center.
John is a solid voice of reason that is approachable for both the Goliaths and the Davids, and he’s shown to take a supreme interest in Christian. He sees his own geekiness within Christian and wants to see him blossom into a more confident, capable player. However, he’s also capable of working with the Goliaths on the bottom, including Angelina and Nick via alliance osmosis.
Something interesting to note is that John has faded into more of a supplementary role once more, offering insight into what others at camp are up to and getting a word or two in without necessitating a confessional. His personality has certainly calmed down after rattling off all his wrestling personas, presenting a well-rounded character in the mix but not taking the spotlight.
