9. Alison Raybould

What happened to Dr. Alison? So far, her edit has been bookended, with barely anything between the first episode of the season and the most recent. She got the chance to explain how she worked hard to become a doctor at the marooning, only to be undercut by Pat and his inability for the chance to go to college. Even though she was the Goliath foil to the then-dominant Davids, it did establish her character.

After that, Alison was pushed to the sidelines, offering either wrong opinions about the Natalie vote or commenting on the harsh weather. First, she was the quiet player on a tribe of Goliaths; then she was the only person to get barely any screentime on a tribe filled with the most outgoing, narrative-forward personalities in the game.

Not that we see Alison finally come to the forefront after getting a purplish edit, with her goal of taking out Dan and his idol sooner rather than later. With Dan in the hot seat as indicated in the David vs. Goliath merge promo, for Alison to be close to invisible followed by a sudden push to get out the guy with two idols might indicate her rapid demise from the game.

Lyrsa got a similar bump in visibility only to be voted out a few episodes later. I think Alison’s following that same line heading into the merge.
