7. Kara Kay
Coming back to her closest partner in the game not named Alec, Kara is in a weird position at the merge. She tried to form a bond with Elizabeth, starting out strong over their bond of all things horsies and religion. However, after Kara tried to pivot the Vuku vote towards Alec to keep herself safe, Elizabeth saw through her facade and aimed to take her out next.
With Elizabeth elevating her threat status heading into the merge, she does get a bit of cover from her. Not only that, she reconnects with Angelina and Dan; both of which are looking to establish parts of a majority merge alliance with partners they’ve met on their tribes. If she finds a good group, she could slink back into the shadows.
One thing that’s become evident; we’ve seen a lot of semi-optimistic content from Kara before the merge when it wasn’t necessary. It’s almost as if the editors needed a reason to put her into the episode to remind the audience she’s in the game; something that’s almost a necessity for winners. It is something to keep an eye on, especially if she has an elevated presence starting at the merge.
