It’s hard to be the mayor of Ponderosa as the first person voted out of Survivor, as David vs. Goliath’s first juror reflects on how the show changed them.

Warning: This post will discuss the events of the first Ponderosa video for Survivor: David vs. Goliath, including the fate of juror number one after being voted out at the merge.

The Survivor: David vs. Goliath merge has come and gone, and it was a fascinating hour of television that could have been more predictable with worse editing. Seriously, for someone to receive the most votes ever at one singular Tribal Council and it still feels like gripping television from start to finish is no easy task, and the editors, as well as the players, are to thank for that.

Unfortunately, it did send Elizabeth Olson out of the game in 13th place, setting her up to be the queen of this season’s Survivor Ponderosa. Her video has been uploaded online a bit earlier than usual, as it made it to YouTube before the west coast airing of the episode. Despite being an energetic individual, Elizabeth was a lot more pensive with her time alone away from the game.

As you can see from the video above, it hurt Elizabeth to throw Angelina under the bus, as she knew that it was her only shot to advance and strive for that million-dollar prize. Even after the game was over, you could see how much it took a toll on her psyche, as the game takes a bit out of everyone.

Instead of rushing to eat all the food in the world at Ponderosa (as we all would likely do at home), cleanliness brought Elizabeth Olson back to humanity. The actual resort itself has a new outlook to it for the rooms, as it looks like the mayor of Ponderosa gets dibs on one of the most luxurious rooms I’ve seen on the show.

With nobody else to hang out with, this wasn’t one of the “fun” Ponderosa videos we’ve seen in the past. It’s an honest look at how Survivor: David vs. Goliath has helped shaped Elizabeth Olson to be a better person overall and mother to her children. I can’t wait to see who will join her next!
