3. Dan Rengering

Some may say that Dan Rengering is high on the Survivor: David vs. Goliath episode 8 power rankings, but there are a plethora of reasons why I don’t think he’s close to being eliminated this coming episode (or many down the line). Sure, most of those reasons can be summed up by “he has two freaking Hidden Immunity Idols,” but there are other points to bring up.

For starters, Dan’s edit is overwhelmingly positive and only undermined by negativity if you’re hyper-aware of editing tricks. His reunion with Kara was shown to be very positive, and he made it his goal to get rid of Elizabeth. That has been accomplished, and he’s not the primary target for the Davids or the Goliaths at this point.

He’s also become a huge presence at the merge, with his edit being given a ton of unnecessarily positive content. His pep talk at the Immunity Challenge was the stuff of winners; the kind of highlight shown in a sizzle reel at the reunion. Sure, he’s not in the middle of a grander alliance, but having two Hidden Immunity Idols means even if an Idol Nullifier is used, he could just whip out the other idol and stay safe.

Dan has a ton of physical advantages going for him at this time, propelling him to a top spot.
